This excellent installation by long-standing Milwood Group Trade Partner, Getty Glass, is a great example of how using inset standing legs can allow customers to increase the footprint of their systems without the requirement for an additional standing leg being necessary.
Getty Glass have been part of our Trade Partner Program for over 5 years now and they have produced many stunning installations for us in Northern Ireland.
From the initial surveying it was agreed that the posts would be inset by 500mm to each side, preventing an additional standing leg to be required. This allows for the front of the veranda to be more open allowing for better access and views of the garden space while also requiring less material. Taking advantage of the cantilever properties of our systems is a great way to keep costs down when installing a Simplicity 6 veranda over 4m wide.
Finished in RAL 7016 Anthracite Grey the system seamlessly integrates into the modern design of the home and the 6mm Clear Toughened Glass will provide additional strength to the system while protecting users relaxing below. It will also allow sunlight to pass through in the summer months while also supporting snow and heavy rainfall in the colder months.
The homeowner was delighted with the outcome as they rushed to decorate the sheltered patio space with an outdoor furniture set so they could enjoy the great outdoors. The veranda is located above a set of patio doors in which the owner can increase their usable living space all year round without fear of the elements.
