“I was invited to look at a side space on a new build property, the Simplicity 16 was the perfect solution. The window frames were white, the gutters black, given the no-cost options between white and anthracite, the client chose white.

Digging the first foundation, we established a solid concrete base of at least 300mm lay beneath the tarmac, chipping into the first 100mm, we secured the base feet with thunderbolts below ground level. Grimacingly tight fixings left is in no doubt about the secure anchor of this Canopy. Postcrete and cold lay tarmac gave a neat finish to the freshly laid driveway.

With end posts set slightly in, the rear gutter evacuation point needed a square to round adaptor, two angles and a branch to connect into the existing garage drainpipe. A dogleg at the front just added balance to the visual and delivered rainwater to a positive fall on the driveway away from the Canopy.

Total additional costs beyond the complete kit form Canopy, fuel and labour, just £51.10 for rainwater goods, anchors and aggregates.

The conclusion, a wonderful looking Carport and a delighted customer.”
