A key factor in the specification of any material used within a building is the life expectancy, namely how long an investment in an upgrade to the home can be expected to last.

Having taken our full manufacturing process in-house at our new 65,000 square foot facility in Rochester, we’re so confident of our quality that we’re extending our life expectancy promise by over three decades, from 25 to 60 years!

This brings our promise in line with the current British Standards (BS8589:2020), Approved Document B, and NHBC Standards for new build construction. These state that a building’s minimum design life expectancy should usually be 60 years. While the vast majority of installations of our systems are to existing properties rather than to new build homes, we feel this 60 year design life is a good “best practice” to embrace.

By increasing our products’ life expectancy period to 60 years, our Trade partners will be able to bring a much greater sense of peace-of-mind to their customers with the guarantee that their purchased system will provide excellent amenity for many decades to come.
