If you are struggling to gain likes and followers on social media, it is well worth having a look at your social media strategy or indeed, creating one.
It’s important to remember though that you don’t want just anyone to follow you, you want people that are actually interested in your products and services. So holding competitions and offering freebies may not so work as you could just gain followers that want a freebie but are not interested in paying for your services/products.
Put yourself in your potential customers’ shoes, if you was thinking of purchasing a large investment such as a veranda or conservatory, what would you want to know about the company? Images of previous installations, testimonials from previous customers, latest offers, new product updates are just a few that spring to mind. These will be the most important things you should post about along with company information such as such accreditations or awards you have received, new staff members, and free literature such as brochures.
This way you will be offering your potential customers all of the information they want to see rather that hard sales messages that will make them unfollow you. Be friendly yet professional and always reply to anyone that comments whether they are good or bad comments. It is important to be responsive and show that you care about your business enough to follow up enquiries and resolve issues. Doing this publically can impress those who view your page.
And most importantly, add your social media account details to your website, business cards, brochure and any other literature including receipts.
Be sure to mention on your website and literature that you update your social media accounts regularly with the latest installation pictures, customer testimonials, offers and product news to entice them to follow.
