Choose a company that will pledge their full support and work with you to help your business grow.
Does the company use the latest technologies and continually evaluate and improve their products?
This will allow you to offer the most advanced products to your customers and position you ahead of competitors.
Does the company offer products which are value for money?
Try to choose a company that has value engineered their products as they will be able to pass these savings onto you, increasing your profitability.
Do they have proven products?
Ask for evidence such as case studies and testimonials from customers to back up all that a company is telling you.
Does the company have the relevant technical data about their products to satisfy your installers and more technically minded customers?
This could include calculations such as wind and snow loadings which are vital for your team to follow in order to install safe and stable structures.
Does the company offer any training support?
A training session can help familiarise all your staff with a product and how to install it correctly –ensuring every installation is perfect and professionally completed.
Does the company supply marketing literature to help promote the product?
It is important to check if this literature is unbranded as this will allow you to use it straightaway – meaning you don’t have to spend time and money creating your own brochures.
Does the company offer any assistance to help get your new product seen online?
Help writing content and publishing it online can prove invaluable, as this allows you to focus on selling the product whilst their experts concentrate on making your new product look good online.
Can the company offer you and your team any sales training?
The supplier is in the best position to show you the most effective sales strategies to use to sell their product, plus they can give advice on who to target and what has worked best for them? A company that has had experience selling to your market in the past, will have priceless information about how best to pitch their product. Choose a company that is happy to share that advice with you.
Does the company have documents such as order forms which will help you process orders more effectively?
This will ensure a smooth, quick and accurate process that will allow you to deliver the product to the customer in a timely manner.
Do they have an easy pricing system?
This should include clear price lists to help you price products and provide instant quotes for your customers. Providing fast quotes will ensure you can compete with other companies in your market.
Is the company happy to share their terms and conditions?
Choose a company that is transparent in their business arrangements and offers all information about their product up front as this will show they are a reputable company who value your business.
