A-Fence, the new aluminium fencing solution from Milwood Group, the UK’s home for Outdoor Living Solutions
Milwood Group and our sister company AliDeck are passionate about finding new and innovative solutions to an existing problem. With product innovation at the forefront of our success, Milwood supply a versatile range of Verandas, Canopies and Carport systems to our valued Trade Partners.
Traditionally, fence panels have been constructed from wood, which is a material that brings its own set of issues. Each year, domestic homeowners and commercial property owners face the risk of having to replace their perimeter fencing, whether it be nature taking its course through heavy-wind or rain, from fire, or effects of aging and decay.
Our solution to overcome these challenges is our new A-Fence system.
Introducing A-Fence, the new aluminium solution for perimeter fencing
Manufactured entirely out of aluminium, A-Fence will revolutionise the fencing market. Requiring very few components to achieve an effective and robust installation, the fire-safe A-Rated aluminium design will be catching the eyes of architects, developers and, of course, homeowners across the country.
Among the many benefits that A-Fence provides, foremost is the cost-effective solution for future-proofing perimeter fencing. With a lifespan expectancy of at least 25 years, the durability of this product far outweighs that of more traditional methods such as wooden fencing. Aluminium is a lightweight metal but incredibly strong, making it a tough and effective material to use for a safe and secure installation.
A-Fence: A-Rated Architectural Aluminium
Additionally, aluminium is a non-combustible material, eliminating the risk of damage from fire. A-Fence achieves A2-s1, d0 fire rating, proving its non-combustibility. The shift towards using non-combustible materials in recent years across the construction industry has underlined the importance of the choices we make in regard to the materials we use to prevent any costly future remediation.
Among the drawbacks of wood in fence panels is its tendency to absorb moisture in rainfall. This causes them to expand and contract, gradually forcing their support panels to shift out of place and the panels to warp. Aluminium, of course, is non-porous so does not absorb water, eliminating the fear of support panels shifting, warping or being dislodged.
A modular approach to fencing design with A-Fence
Available finishes include our 6 standard colours, all in a sleek powder-coat, providing a range of aesthetically pleasing options to suit any property. The aluminium fencing panels are available in 3 sizes; 50mm, 100, and 150mm. With the option of having them spaced out through the use of our spacer cover strips for an open design, or for a private feel you can opt to have them fitted closed together similar to traditional fencing.
